Safeway is basically a nice grocery store. You can get anything grocery fresh and is always available. You can get your drinks, drinking water and also cards for different occasions. There are indoor and outdoor flowers available. The parking lot is also wide enough with special allotments for customers on wheelchairs.
I always enjoy shopping at Safeway.. the staff are great.. but I must give out a big shout out to Lucy in the flower department.. she went over and beyond for us.. thank you for helping to make our wedding so much better on such short notice... my new bride was very happy.. you rock!! 😀 …
The best grocery store around University Height area, very clean and beautiful renovations and maintained great. Very friendly people work here, if you need any help or looking for some specific items, feel free to ask. They always guide customers nicely and effectively.
By the way, the liquor store has been set beside a few years.
Worst grocery store in the city. The staff is rude ignorant and miserable. They need to work in their customer service skills. The young guy with dark hair in the deli department thinks he is working at a Louis Vuitton or Gucci store how snobby and entitle he thinks he is. If you go pay thru the self serve check out. The cashiers are miserable and rude with a long face. Hope the manager of the store rectifies these issues with staff soon
Safeway is my first preference for fresh produce and groceries. I like the calm vibe at the store and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. There's ample free parking and it's easy to access. The flowers section is a joy to walk into.
Went in to shop and came out to a very nice parking lot attendant who let us know someone had smashed a bottle and there was glass all underneath and around the vehicle - he has a broom and was sweeping it up and let us know to pull out straight so we wouldn’t puncture the tires. We are so grateful he waited for us to come out and swept up so I could get into the vehicle. Good job Safeway for having this caring young man taking care of your customers after they shop, and good job to him and too for waiting for us and taking care of it!!! :)
Went to pick up my medication while my husband was waiting in the car, when I came out my husband was standing beside the car , I saw a cart that suddenly moved by the wind on the other side of our car, toward another car which two women were inside it, both looking down( probably trough their cellphones) I was waving at them trying to help them and let them know that the cart is coming!! They didn't see me and cart hit their car. They came out and run toward my husband saying you pushed the damn cart toward our car!! And an extremely rude young cart pusher came out of nowhere, took their side and told my husband she says you pushed the cart and told them to take a pic of our plate. It was unbelievable, I personally became so angry, I was shocked, looking inside my eyes and lying, told them go inside the store ask the manager check the camera. Just saying that cart pusher is a deceptive person, I won't go to this store anymore, switched my pharmacy to Shoppers. This is unacceptable.
Friendly, helpful staff. Never had a bad experience. Christia (sorry if I spelt that wrong), at the front, was super quick and friendly. Went above and beyond; put bags in our carts for people and wrapped flowers all while still working the till.
Always a great thing to see. The store is clean and organized. It feels a lot more warm and welcoming than some other grocery stores in the city. They have a wide variety of groceries, at decent prices. Overall, a great store.
